Rowan Realty

Rowan Realty started as a family business and has been part of my life since it began in 1964. My aunt Harriet Rowan founded the company and served as its Broker until my mother Carole Zeilman took over in 2018. With over 50 years experience, I learned from the best. I was raised in Carle Place, attended the Carle Place Schools and graduated in 1972 as salutatorian. After Graduating from Duke University, I returned to Carle Place, received my Masters Degree from Pratt Institute, and married my husband Tom who lived in Westbury. We have lived in Westbury Gardens (Village of Westbury, Carle Place School District) for over 40 Years and raised our family. I serve on the Board of Directors for then Westbury-Carle Place Chamber of Commerce and Westbury Arts and am a member of the Village of Westbury Planning Board. I am committed to improving my community and helping people throughout Nassau, Suffolk, and Queens find the community that best suits their needs.

I love my job! Since I became a Realtor in 2002, I have had the privilege to be involved in hundreds of sales and rentals. My credential include New York State Certifications for Real Estate Broker, Commercial and Investment Real Estate Certification (CIRE), and Short Sale and Foreclosures (SFR). Zillow has classified me as a Premier Agent. To provide the best service possible, I keep current with all real estate updates, market conditions, and the latest technology. One of the advantages of working for a boutique firm is that I treat all my clients like family with unmatched personal service, experience, and professionalism. Over the years, I have established relationships with mortgage bankers, home inspectors, building inspectors, attorneys, licensed plumbers and electricians, termite and mold remediation companies, expeditors, contractors, tag sale and removal experts, and other services that may be needed during the buying or selling process. I look forward to the opportunities and challenges that real estate offers with every client, past and present. Feel free to contact me 24/7 with any and all of your real estate concerns.

My earliest memories are growing up in a home with my 4 brothers and sisters and parents. My mom and dad had 3 children in a 2 bedroom apartment and were expecting another. They then wanted to buy a house and almost lost the deal because of some `confusion.’ The realtor stepped in and gave up part of his commission to make sure things were done right.

The story of the integrity of that reality has stayed with me in my career as a real estate agent. I first bought a coop, and then a house, and each place we lived, we made home. It is stressful, and full of anxieties, which is what I keep in mind when dealing with clients. It is a big investment and it is your home. I am honest, friendly, and try to communicate with clients on a regular basis.

I teach theology as well, so I am a Realtor who takes into account ethical matters. When I am not doing real estate I enjoy nature, sports, hiking, and reading.

I want to work with you in buying or selling your home.

When you work with me, you will receive a knowledgeable and professional real estate agent, a committed ally to negotiate on your behalf. I attended the City University of Queens College and earned a Bachelor's degree in Economics which provided me with a unique view and understanding of the real estate market trends. My role as your agent is to inform you and guide you through every phase of the process to help you make a confident decision. I love listening and matching families and individuals with homes in a neighborhood that best suit their needs. Treating customers like family is an important principle and a way of life for me.
